Ricky has been with Transnet National Ports Authority for the past thirteen years, having previously spent four years at Spoornet, a division of Transnet Limited.
He has worked his way through the ranks from Senior HR Manager at their head office to his current role of Port Manager at Africa’s premier commercial port namely the Port of Durban.
Ricky holds a B.A Hons (Psych) Degree from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal as well as a Certificate in Computer Studies from the Durban University of Technology. He has attended a string of other short courses.
In his spare time, Ricky is studying for an MBA degree. He is in his third year at the Graduate School of Business which is part of the University of KwaZulu-Natal. He has attended several technical tours to international ports and harbours which assist in informing future developments at the Port of Durban.
